TRACE ADKINS TO PERFORM “I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS” ON CBS’ A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS SPECIAL, DEC. 23 @ 8 PM ET/7CT

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – BBR’s Wheelhouse Records’ Trace Adkins will perform on CBS’ 18th Annual A Home for the Holidays television special to be broadcast at 8pm ET on Friday, Dec. 23. Click HERE for a sneak peek of Adkins’ rendition of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.”

Now in its 18th year, A Home for the Holidays features uplifting stories of adoption from foster care and raises awareness for the over 150,000+ children still waiting to find their forever homes. Adkins will join Rachel Platten, Alessia Cara and Miranda Lambert on the special.

“As much as it’s a time of celebration, this time of year can also be hard for some,” says Adkins. “I wanted to perform ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ for all those that may be feeling that longing for family, and I hope this special continues to bring families together this holiday season and beyond.”

Adkins has experience lending his iconic baritone to a Yuletide classic; in celebration of his 2013 Christmas album, The King’s Gift, he embarked on The Christmas Show Tour, garnering widespread critical acclaim for both. “Adkins relied on two of his greatest instruments – his vocal range and his personality to deliver what could very well be his strongest stage production yet,” applauded Billboard, although he “reminded fans that he is (and always has been) the real deal vocally.”

Adkins’ trademark baritone has powered countless hits to the top of the charts and sold more than 10 million albums, cumulatively. The GRAMMY-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry is a TV personality, actor, author, spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Red Cross, for whom he raised over $1.5 million as winner of NBC’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.
