Randy Houser’s Blistering New Video for “We Went” Drops Worldwide via VEVO Today, August 3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Aug. 3, 2015) – Following a weekend-long premiere on CMT Hot 20 Countdown and CMT platforms, the action-packed video for Randy Houser’s current single “We Went” drops worldwide today, August 3, via VEVO. The 3:27-long piece, which according to Taste of Country has solidified Houser as “a contender for king of the country music video,” was directed by Dustin Rikert and tells the story of the “Good Deed Bandits” as they take down a drug baron and distribute his ill-gotten gain to down-on-their-luck folks while racing around the Arizona desert.

Rikert also helmed the epic mini-movie portrayal of Houser’s most recent Top 5 hit, “Like A Cowboy,” and the video for “We Went” echoes its style and scenery. He returned to the Tucson area along with several of the same cast members from “Like A Cowboy” — including veteran actor William Shockley (Robocop; “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”) — to shoot the new project.
“We had such a blast with the ‘Like A Cowboy’ video and the production on that one was so high-quality that we wanted to do it again for this one,” said Houser. “But this time, my whole band got to be in the video and there’s a lot more action – everything from car chases to crash scenes to explosions. And we were thrilled to get back to Tucson – it’s an incredible area to shoot, with so much different scenery.  We just had a great time with it.”
The first single from a forthcoming studio album on Stoney Creek Records, “We Went” has piqued the ears of critics and fans alike as it climbs the country charts. Rolling Stone Country called the song “supercharged” and a “galloping road anthem that builds on the dusty vibe of ‘Like A Cowboy.’” Houser also performed the song at Nashville’s LP Field during the CMA Music Festival and will appear on the CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock television special airing tomorrow, August 4 at 8:00 p.m. / 7:00 p.m. CT on the ABC Television Network.
Fans can hear more new material from Houser as he continues on the Kick The Dust Up Tour with Luke Bryan, where he continues to earn rave reviews as “the kind of male belter that country music could use” (Star Tribune).
