History-breaking trio Runaway June performed the National Anthem at the kick-off of the history-making National Finals Rodeo in Arlington, TX yesterday.
Not only is the NFR the “super bowl” of rodeo events, this year is the inaugural year of the addition of breakaway roping. The top 15 ropers in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) are making history for being part of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo competition for the first time.
The trio’s performance at this kick-off was broadcasted on RFD-TV and The Cowboy Channel. The National Finals Rodeo, organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, is the premier championship rodeo event in the United States. The NFR showcases the talents of the PRCA’s top 15 money-winners in each event as they compete for the world title.
