(NEW YORK, NY)  — It was a whirlwind 48 hours in the Big Apple forStoney Creek Records act Parmalee. The chart-topping foursome made its debut on NBC’s TODAY show on Tuesday (9/8), becoming the first musical guest to perform on the show’s brand new set.

Following a 3:30 am wake-up call, Parmalee chatted with hosts Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Tamron Hall and Willie Geist in the 9 o’clock hour. The platinum selling act then performed its third consecutive hit “Already Callin’ You Mine,” which earned a 102% sales increase on the Nielsen Soundscan Country Singles Chart this week.

“Everybody who is anyone in America comes here and there’s so much energy in the studio between the guests and the hosts. You feel like you’re a part of the daily excitement that goes on in households across America. I mean, we just played the $%@# TODAY show – what more can I say?!?!” said lead singer Matt Thomas shortly after Parmalee’s debut.

Parmalee was early-to-rise again the next morning (9/9) when the band headed to Major League Baseball’s television headquarters in Secaucus, NJ for an appearance on the MLB Network’s live weekday morning show, MLB CENTRAL.

The band (comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox and longtime friend Josh McSwain) chatted about their humble beginnings in Parmele, NC (population 268), their favorite MLB teams and their nerve-wracking experience performing the national anthem at Wrigley Field this past April. Parmalee then treated hosts Mark DeRosa, Matt Vasgersian and Lauren Shehadi to a trendsetting acoustic performance of “Already Callin’ You Mine,” marking the very first musical performance in the history of the show.

While touring the MLB Network headquarters afterwards, Parmalee took a break to play ball inside the MLB’s fully functioning indoor baseball field, also known as Studio 42. Parmalee bassist Barry Knox scored a homerun hit that was captured on camera and aired on the network’s live show!

“If only Barry could play bass the way he can hit a ball. I’m afraid he may quit the band now!” joked Parmalee guitarist Josh McSwain.
