Nashville, TN (May 19, 2016) – Broken Bow Records’ rising star Jordan Rager leaps into the Top 40 at U.S. Country radio this week with his widely lauded debut single, “Southern Boy.” The song, which “speaks right to the masses” (Taste of Country) features guest vocals from superstar label-mate Jason Aldean and is co-written by powerhouse songwriters Jeremy Stover, Barry Dean and Luke Laird. “Southern Boy” is available at all digital retailers here: http://geni.us/southernboy

On the heels of recent chart ascension, RARE Country goes behind the scenes to tap into the song’s touching inspiration from a remarkable terminally ill teenager. In a one-on-one chat, Rager opens up explaining, “Cam was a good ole southern boy before he got sick, and he was the same good ole southern boy after he got sick…” He continues, “When you think about this 15-year-old kid who was brave enough to stare cancer in the face, that really put a lot of things into perspective for me.”

When the Broken Bow artist initially heard the song, he knew the story was a heartening message of determination and unwavering spirit that needed to be told.Read the full story HERE.
