Beckham Scores RIAA Gold Certification for His Breakout Hit “23,” Currently Climbing the Country Radio Charts
American Idol winner Chayce Beckham returned to the franchise last night to perform his latest song “Till The Day I Die.” Named a “Next Big Thing” by Music Row, the “Artist to Watch” (PopCulture, Country Now) is known for delivering incredibly raw stories, and his latest “Till The Day I Die” – released April 28 – is his most authentic yet. Sending up a whiskey-soaked prayer, the pensive ballad is drenched in Beckham’s signature “raspy, blues-rock voice” (Wide Open Country) that Katy Perry said sounds like the “heart of America,” while the lyrics reflect on his cowboy way of life.

Not only did the “full-fledged country star” (CMT) take the American Idol stage, but Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie surprised Beckham while on stage with his first-ever US Gold platinum certified plaque for his season-winning, self-written, breakout hit “23” that’s currently burning up the country radio charts.
A deeply personal story song about a man’s hardships, written during a particularly dark time in his own life before he auditioned for American Idol, “23” immediately resonated with audiences and shot to the top of numerous viral charts upon release. Now, having become an anthemic staple in Beckham’s live shows, “23” has racked up over 238 million on-demand streams and counting.
Produced by Ross Copperman and written by Beckham with Andy Albert, Jordan Minton and Mark Trussell, “Till The Day I Die” follows the “heartbreak-induced insomnia” (Country Now) of “Keeping Me Up All Night” that Whiskey Riff praised as “a step towards the country music heartbreak direction…while keeping all the raspy folk-roots rhythms he’s known for,” and the incredible success of his six-track debut EP Doin It Right that skyrocketed to No. 1 on the iTunes All Genre and Country charts and received critical acclaim from E! News!, Billboard, People , CMT, PopCulture, Sweety High, American Songwriter and more.
Having just wrapped dates with Matt Stell, catch Beckham headlining his own shows and performing at CMA Fest on June 8 at 1:45 pm on the Riverfront Stage, before heading out on Luke Bryan’s 2023 Country On Tour, kicking off June 15 in Syracuse, New York.
