“Artist to Watch” (Taste of Country, Sounds Like Nashville) Dylan Schneider is “Lost In A Small Town” in his vibrant debut from BBR Music Group. The intensely reflective song boasts Schneider’s “undeniable country swagger” and “rapid-fire singing style” as his heart and head are aimlessly fractured and haunted by the memories of a past relationship (Billboard). “Lost In A Small Town” is out now. Listen HERE.
“‘Lost In A Small Town” is about a breakup in your hometown,” explains Schneider. “You knew those streets, you knew those places, and you were always running around there, but now, since that person isn’t with you anymore, it just doesn’t seem as familiar.”
Written by Schneider, Gabe Foust, James McNair and producer Mark Holman, “Lost In A Small Town” combines impassioned lyrics infused with surging instrumentals and compelling, emotive vocals that showcase just a taste of the true rock-n-roll prowess and transcendent swagger the “country music’s next rising star” has to offer (Billboard).
“I actually first came up with the idea for the song, when we were writing a different song,” he continues. “We used the line, ‘she’s the kind of girl that will leave you lost in a small town,’ and I said, ‘No, we got to take that out. We got to use that as its own idea and own title.’ This is one of my favorite songs that I’ve written in the last couple of years, and I was able to write this with some of my favorite collaborators. As soon as we finished it, I knew that I wanted to release it.”

This is Schneider’s first new music after a two-year hiatus. However, the 21-year-old proves he hasn’t lost his touch, with the searing new track showing off his signature, unrestrained, “irresistible sound, backed by a slick pop-country beat” (Taste of Country).
The Indiana native has been active in the country music scene since his teens. Drawn to the storytelling aspects of country music, Schneider started performing and writing songs at the age of 14, after meeting Brett Eldredge and singing with him on-stage during a concert. After that, he began posting videos to his YouTube page where he’d cover popular country songs, gaining a devoted online following.
Since then, Schneider has made a name for himself in the country music community, forging a sound that merges modern pop sensibility with a down-home feel. He’s toured with Florida Georgia Line, Granger Smith and Chris Lane, co-wrote Dustin Lynch’s most recent Top 5 hit song “Momma’s House,” accumulated over 1 million social media followers and banked an upwards of 186 million on-demand streams and counting.
Now signed to BBR Music Group, Schneider’s track, “Lost In A Small Town,” is out now.
