Award-winning Country phenomenon Jelly Roll performed his hit breakout song, “Save Me” for the first time on television during Thursday evening’s ACM Awards on Amazon (5/11), bringing the crowd to its feet with an unexpected surprise duet version of his massive hit featuring Lainey Wilson. After independently releasing “Save Me” with a message to his fans, the song tapped into Jelly’s uniquely-connective ability to bring fans “therapeutic music,” and has long become a show stopping moment during his live shows and continues to generate unprecedented fan response- earning more than 155 million views on YouTube and Platinum certification from the RIAA. Earlier this week Jelly announced his highly-anticipated documentary of the same name, including the film’s release date of Tuesday, May 30th on Hulu. Announced by The Wrap, the ABC News produced documentary, “Jelly Roll: Save Me,” will give viewers an unfettered inside look as Jelly Roll prepares and performs for his devoted fans on the biggest tour date of his career, Nashville’s famed Bridgestone Arena in his hometown. Featuring exclusive access, never-before-seen tour footage, and interviews with the musician and those closest to him, the documentary reveals a raw and unflinching artist, incarcerated as a teen and adult, now using the power of his platform to raise awareness and funds for at-risk youth across the country.
